last week i got a call from the doctor.
‘tell me what’s wrong,’ he said.
i took a deep breath —
and it all started spilling out like someone had turned a tap on somewhere deep within me.
‘i’m so tired,’ i said.
‘and i don’t know why i’m tired, because i don’t do anything other than lie in bed.
but i don’t think i’ve felt anything other than exhaustion in a long, long time.’
